The bells that ring
From spires so grand
Do they reflect your god?
This fading sun
When it dies down
Will with it die your god?
My lifeless friend
Did you pass on
The scriptures of your god?
Or were they just
A veil surrounding
The voyage of your heart?
Tell me (tell me)
Tell me
What do you see in the dark
What do you feel in the numbness
When your breath left this place
Did it arrive at an ocean
Maybe a mountain to rest on
Or a valley to sleep
Was every dream that you had
Fulfilled with hallways of gold
Was every nightmare that plauged you
Crucified to let die
And do you hear the bells ringing
Do you remember your homeland
Or have we lost you in flesh
And also lost you in mind
Tell me (tell me)
Tell me
What do you see in the dark
What do you feel in the numbness
Was your belief that of a being
Or of a vision, of a yearning
Surely death cannot steal
That one last ripple of life

Crushing blackened doom from this German band that counterbalances blinding fury with moments of surprising, melancholy melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2023
Tokyo band contrast black metal's brutal complexity with shoegaze's abyssal grandeur, resulting in an LP that feels crushing, yet infinite. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2022
More amazing black metal from Erech, whose other bands Ancient Mastery and Carathis are favorites of mine. With Grandeur the music is harsh, fast paced, melodic, riff-heavy guitar driven black metal that is a bit more raw and less epic than Erech's other acts. Jody B.
